Product description:

A chambered coverslip with 8 individual wells, high walls, and a #1.5H glass coverslip bottom, suitable for use in TIRF and single molecule applications
    • A cell culture chamber for observation of the sample through a glass coverslip bottom using high resolution microscopy
    • Brilliant cell imaging thanks to the low thickness variability of the coverslips’ glass
    • Cost-effective experiments using small numbers of cells and low volumes of reagents
    • Extra high individual walls to keep cross contamination between wells as low as possible

Technical Features:

    • Chambered coverslip with 8 independent wells and a non-removable polymer coverslip-bottom
    • Bottom made from D 263 M Schott glass, No. 1.5H
      (170 +/- 5 µm)
    • May require coating to promote cell attachment
    • Individual well walls for minimizing well-to-well crosstalk and contaminations
    • Compatible with staining and fixation solutions
    • Also available as a µ-Slide 8 Well high with an ibidi Polymer Coverslip Bottom for superior cell growth
    • Also available as an adhesive version without a bottom:
      sticky-Slide 8 Well high
    • Additional version available with a 500 µm grid:
      µ-Slide 8 Well high Grid-500

The Principle of the µ-Slide 8 Well high

The Coverslip Bottom

The µ-Slide 8 Well high Glass Bottom comes with a high precision D263 M Schott glass, No 1.5H (170 +/– 5 µm) Glass Coverslip Bottom. This Bottom is ideally suitable for high-resolution microscopy and special microscopic applications like TIRF or super-resolution.

Application Examples

The ibidi µ-Slide 8 Well high Glass Bottom allows for standard immunofluorescence protocols to be employed without the use of coverslips in an all-in-one chamber. All steps (e.g., cell cultivation, fixation, staining, and imaging) are carried out in the open well geometry. After staining, the sample can be observed through the coverslip bottom using high-resolution microscopy.
